Beijing Key Laboratory of Epilepsy was founded in 2012, relying on Capital Medical University Sanbo Brain Hospital. The co-construction units includes Capital Medical University Beijing Neuroscience Institute and Capital Medical University Beijing Tiantan Hospital. The total area of the laboratory is around 2000 square meters. The number of experiment equipment is 79. The permanent assets can be 13.8924 million yuan. There are 49 workers in the lab. Among them, 5 workers are doctoral supervisors, 21 workers have titles of associate professor or more advanced, 24 workers get doctoral degrees, 13 workers hold master degrees. Chief expert professor Guoming Luan is the director of Beijing Key Laboratory of Epilepsy. Professor Zhiqing Xu(Capital Medical University Beijing Neuroscience Institute), professor Jianguo Zhang(Capital Medical University Beijing Tiantan Hospital), professor Tianfu Li(Capital Medical University Sanbo Brain Hospital) are the vice directors of Beijing Key Laboratory of Epilepsy. Professor Xun Wu(Peking University First Hospital) is the director of the Academic Committee of Beijing Key Laboratory of Epilepsy. Professor Jiluan Pan(Tsinghua University, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering) is the vice director of the Academic Committee of Beijing Key Laboratory of Epilepsy. Major research field: (1)The mechanism of electrical propagation and symptom generation in epilepsy by intracranial electrodes(subdural electrodes and SEEG). (2)Pathogenesis of epilepsy on Adenosine and Galanin (3)The mechanism of neurostimulation in epilepsy; research and produce novel neurostimulation techniques and neurostimulators (4)Surgerical intervention in the early stage and standard treatment of refractory epilepsy in children. |
